Why are my door speakers cutting out????
Edit: Fixed! the adapter that connects to the factory harness hass 4 separate plugs. The blue one is an acc group of wires that caused the speakers to cut out. Since I have unplugged just the blue port (2 white 1 blue and 1 black) speakers are screaming as they should and all is well
I have a 1996 gmc sanoma running 1 kicker comp 10 300 watts off a 2 channel pioneer amp bridged 500 watt max with a Pioneer MVH-S23BT Single DIN. I rewired the head unit, ground and power wires, I cleaned the battery contact and put a new fuse on the 12v wire.
I also put the head unit from Rear/Rear to Sub/Rear in the settings. Before I installed the sub the door speakers worked fine at Vol level 25+. The door speakers cut out when its up and the amp gain is barely over half way turned up.
2 songs play almost with no interrupting the door speakers but. Idle. Driving (especially turning it seems sometimes) whenever actually the speakers cut out but the sub still hits with precision when the door speakers cut out.
Everything is new but that doesnt mean its all perfect. Iam leaning towards alternator or battery because the truck battery is small and the symptoms iam getting are similar to when my speakers would cut out when I had the system on without the car running the speakers would cut out b4 it killed the rest of the battery.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated much. THANK YOU!
