Trying to get better at ranked play (multiplayer)

Hello guys, I just played my placement match and got placed plat for the second season in a row. I only solo q but I wish I could rank up consistently, possibly having fun while doing so.

I don’t use voice chat and I’m not willing to use it, I just can’t stand toxic people…

This season I solo q’d to iri in Warzone but it’s not even comparable to cdl to me. I think I can shoot pretty straight, I’ve been playing cod on and off for more than 10 years (never competitively). I got like 6-7 nukes on pubs this year and 2 nukes on warzone 2 years ago. I know that CDL is totally different but I’m saying this because I want you guys to know that I can shoot at least a little…

I just wish I could hit diamond on CDL at this point, last season at some point I started losing literally every game and I gave it up eventually, even if I was kinda close to it. I didn’t play ranked for like 2 months after that

I feel like I’m missing something… or rather I’m missing everything

Do you guys have any tips to make me improve, or would someone (in europe) who knows how to play want to run some matches with me? I really wish I could get better

P.S. I’m italian but I also speak english. Feel free to add me if you want to help me, those in the pictures are my two accounts.
no toxic people please

Iri solo q

I just got to iri by solo q’ing with 0 comms 🫩

I’m not gonna do this again…

Anyway if you’re trying to do it as well here’s a few tips:
- play in the morning (the earlier in the morning, the better)
- try not to play too aggressively, unless you notice that one of your mates is hard anchoring and is safe
- hard anchor everytime your teammates are not that good (and hope that they at least get a few kills)
- avoid playing at 7 pm when you get your protection because everybody gets it as well, lobbies are gonna be super sweaty and people are gonna push you more ‘cause they don’t care about losing points
- also avoid playing at night in the weekend if possible
- This is the most important one: don’t tilt if you lose the protection or a few points, you’re gonna gain them back as long as you don’t play tilted… you’re gonna lose more if you do
