Pittsburgh at risk of losing Bradford route as airlines compete for federal contract - Pittsburgh Business Times

Bradford is currently served by 9-seat turboprops to PIT and Dulles, subsidized by Essential Air Program. The 4-year contract is up for renewal and there are several proposals from competing airlines.

McKean County Commission supports switching from Southern Airways to SkyWest - whose proposals include flights to Dulles and O'Hare on 50-seat regional jets.

PIT has lost most of its intrastate Southern Airways routes in recent years, with only DuBois and Bradford remaining, as airports have switched to regional jet service over turboprops.
