TNF vs the Browns

Hello, Canadian Steelers fan here. I have been to Pittsburgh 7 times to see them play but am going to an away game for the first time Week 4 vs the Browns. I assume some people here have made the trip down.

I have never been to Cleveland. Just looking for some recommendations on where to stay/what to do/places to eat. Also, possibly what the game day experience is like compared to Pittsburgh.

I am flying in Wednesday getting there around noon. So will have half a day Wednesday and the full day Thursday before the TNF game. Currently looking at staying at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Any info will help. Thanks!

Lippsmackers Cookies

I think all players should get cards that promote their businesses like this. I’d take a Heyward House or Best of the Batch card. Like a business trading card.

I may advise with caution if you’re planning to call that phone number though in 2026.

Flying in...wait to buy tickets?

We're from So Cal and this will be our first game at Heinz field. We're coming in for the Bengals game on Sept 27. I've read on here it's best to wait to buy tickets, so I'm willing to gamble on getting them closer to the game. However, we are meeting friends flying in from AZ and we'd hate to not be able to sit together. Thoughts on how long we can wait?

Appreciate any insight. Also, we want to stay and visit the city, what shouldn't we miss?

Thank you

Patrick Graham quote question

Hello!

I wanna start off by saying that I really like Patrick Graham's demeanor and he seems like a fantastic coach, so I do not want my question to make it sound like that's not how i feel.

Here is a quote from his press conference:

"I think the benefit of being here with the Steelers is that there's a clear standard in terms of what the people of the city and the town and what the Rooney what they expect. You know, I know we made mention to it, you know, the steel curtain. I mentioned this before, like we there's no need for any gimmicks for me as a coordinator to come up with any gimmicks for what we got to do. Like, let's win this one for that or do I don't have to make up any BS about that. I mean, the people in this town and just having time to be around the town and meet the people, it's clear."

(quote just pulled straight from Youtube transcript)

What does this mean? Like, is he saying he had to coach to gimmicks in Vegas? Who is using gimmicks? And he also brings this up while in the same breath saying that there's a Steel Curtain identity. is "being the Steel Curtain" a gimmick?

idk, once again, i really really like Patrick Graham, but this quote from the press conference really confused me. What is he referencing?

Calling my shot

If im wrong im wrong but I think Drew Allar is QB1 next year or soon after. The more I chew on it the more I see some clues he’s going to flourish especially sitting a year. I’ve officially left the 1st found QB train for next year.

I agree Howard is ready sooner, Rodgers is a hall of famer, Mason is more ready and tougher but I don’t think anyone can argue Allar is either the best passer of the football or just behind Rodgers in that regard on the team. He’s the weakest QB but that can be coached. If Tomlin was the coach I would not make this claim but with McCarthy I see the future guy.

I would not have him start a single game over anyone I mentioned this year but I really value (perhaps overly so) a QB who can make big time throws and unfortunately Howard and Mason just don’t have the arm for that. I say go get him a WR maybe RB in round 1 next year give him the keys and if he listens to McCarthy it’s golden.

This card helps illustrate the domino effect perfectly

Who knew such a simple thing would lead to immortality? And well of course this card.

One of the more interesting Steelers Program Covers

We all know the stories of Art Rooney’s almost divine empathy for those around him and the city he loved. But you’ve probably never seen him on the cover of this preseason program handing a stuffed rabbit to a child.

At This Point, Who Do You Think is the Best Player on the Steelers

It seems like a dumb question because Watt was the default answer for years. While he's still obviously good, I think it's safe to say he's not at his peak in his age 32 season. Same for Heyward.

Is it Joey Porter Jr? Chris Boswell? Zach Frazier? Still Watt?
