I have a physical pop card and a Google wallet pop card (two separate things with separate balances)

Is it true that you can not use your phone pop card on busses and need to use a physical card? That's what the bus driver told me but it dosnt seem right and I wonder if I was just getting fobbed off...

Just a friendly shot around the globe to say hello from your city's namesake.

It's 4:39pm here, currently 9 degrees C and cloudy.

We're having city council elections on Thursday which is the hot topic of conversation among a lot of people.

A pint is about 5£ in the suburb where I live (Heaton)

Loaf of bread is about 1.30£

Doing a bit of research about your city I didn't realise you have a local area called Wallsend also...

Yeah, anyway... Hi.

I'm not to familiar with Reddit, but reading the rules of this group, while political posts are generally not allowed, it says "During elections or major events, political discussion may be restricted to designated megathreads."

Given the seemingly groundbreaking nature of these upcoming council elections and not wanting to clog up the group with politics chatter for those that don't want to see it. Is there a way to request a megathread be created for the topic.

I'm going to have a 1 used needle per month I need to dispose of. It's from my dogs injection for prescription medication.

I had a sharps bin to pout them in, but I can't find anywhere that will take the bin when full, the vet won't and no bio hazard business will collect it as I'm not a business.

Has anyone got any genuine ideas (ie not the black garter or bottom of the Tyne 😅)

Thank you.
