I cant seem to find anything for this instrumentation online will I really have to make an arrangement of other piece or is there something written specifically for that (5 bassoons and no contra would also work)
I'm in first year in performance currently borrowing a fox 222 from the school but my teacher wants me to get an instrument for myself in my second year since the 222 does not have a high d key and they could possibly need to borrow this instrument to another newer bassoonist so I can't keep it forever.
I really wanted a gentleman's cut/compact model with a high D key
My budget is max CAD$20.000 but hopefully lower than that
I tried looking online and the best I found was a used Yamaha 821C in pretty good condition with a nice case 2 bocals, wisper key lock, balance hanger and other stuff for CAD$22.000 but I'm not sure if its worth it
Yes I can ask my teacher but he is a busy guy and I don't wanna bother him every time I find I promising listing of a bassoon.
This case hurts my fingers so much and i dont have the money to buy a new one right now any ideas of how to make it comfortable to carry?
So i was listening to some wind quintets and at 2:05 in this recording of a franz danzi quintet the oboe plays a line that is very familiar and I KNOW there is a bassoon excerpt that goes something like that.
Things I remember:
*Its 2 maybe 3 bassoons playing together in harmony
*It starts in mid range and goes higher, probably up to high B or smth
*its in the middle of a symphony, I thought it was beethoven at first but I couldnt find any beethoven bassoon excerpt that sounded like it

Ik there used to be some websites to download those for free but I tried at least 10 different ones and they are all taken down, I simply cannot spend that much money on a single book, so pls let me know if anyone has it used or an "alternative" to getting it.

First year here and people keep saying that I should get my Upass as soon as possible so I don't get crazy lines in September but It doesn't seem to be available yet, I'm confused pls help
I wish they still had ASL as a course but im told it is not available anymore is there anything close to that or something easy/fub to cover the empty space.
