SP/DSE Off-Campus Interview Experience – 26th September

Hey everyone, I had my SP/DSE off-campus interview today (26th September) and wanted to share my experience and get some insights from others who have gone through the process.

The interview went roughly like this:

* I was given **2 DSA questions on the laptop** and asked to solve any one of them within around **30–40 minutes**.

* I ended up solving **both questions in around 25 minutes**.

* After that, I explained my approach, dry runs, and solutions in detail for another **15–20 minutes**.

* Then we moved on to my **resume and projects**, where I explained my projects.

* After that, I was asked some **OOPs/fundamentals questions**.

* There were also **2 SQL queries**.

* For the fundamentals and SQL questions, I would say I was able to answer around **50% of the questions**.

* I also have previous **internship experience as an Automation Testing Engineer**, so the interviewer asked about my experience, the work I did there, and related questions.

* Finally, he told me that he was done with the interview.

I am specifically trying for the **SP role**, as my current experience is in testing/automation and I am looking to transition into a **development/SDE-type role**.

I had a few questions for people who have gone through the SP/DSE process:

  1. Based on this interview experience, what are the possible outcomes/roles I could be considered for?

  2. How much weightage is generally given to DSA performance vs. fundamentals, SQL, resume/projects, and previous experience?

  3. Does anyone know **when the results are expected to be announced** for the 26th September interviews?

  4. Also, if I do get **SP1 at Infosys**, would it be worth switching from my current role to SP1 **if the package is in roughly the same range**? My main goal is to move from testing/automation into a proper **development/SDE role**, so I'd especially like to hear from people who are experienced similar

Would really appreciate any insights from people who have gone through a similar process. Thanks!
