Team Green?

Pregnant SMBC to be here!
I’ve had conversations with friends with kids and have heard some compelling stories of being ‘team Green’ (not finding out the sex of the baby before it’s born).

I am kind of tempted to do this as there are so few surprises in life…but the other Type A side of me wants to plan and have all the information! I also think I might feel more connected to the pregnancy and less ‘shocked’ during the initial stages of postpartum.
Keen to hear any experiences!

Non medicated IUI - The Netherlands

I’m looking for personal experiences of doing IUI in the Netherlands with the BamMoeder trajet (subsidy for single women who wish to become mothers).

I have had 4 non monitored, unmedicated IUIs and I am getting a little frustrated with my clinic saying there is no need for an medication/change or process.

I am 36f so I not super young and also donor sperm is crazy expensive! Has anyone demanded a change in protocol? I feel a bit out of my depth and intimidated by this whole situation but I also want to advocate for myself the best I can.

Thick lining

I had a CD4 baseline scan after 2 previously failed unmedicated unmonitored IUI’s. The doctor said the lining was unusually thick for this time in the cycle at 11mm. She said it’s not a cause for concern but also is going to ask for a second opinion. She also said we are continuing this cycle as planned.
Quite mixed messages! Should I push for a mid cycle scan too? This whole process already feels like ‘shooting into the dark!’
