LMU Informatik Bachelor rejection

Hey, did anyone else apply for LMU Informatik Bachelor (WiSe 2026/27) and get rejected because other applicants ranked higher?
I didn’t receive any ranking or score with my rejection. Did anyone else get one, and does anyone know what the cutoff/ranking was?
Also, does anyone know if appealing the decision is possible?

Lost

So currently im in the period of choosing the uni major I have applied to multiple unrelated topics be it engineering ,managment, cs etc. from the outside cybersec seemed interesting enough for me but i dont know if i can transition in it based on this current decision. Like if i take cs then i might have a safe net if i see that cybersec is not for me( if cs isnt already dead). But if i take like EE or CE then i dont think its the recommended base for cybersec unless i have something missing. worse case with managment and technology or other majors. What do you think .

**TUM Informatik Bachelor — got called for the admission test despite clearing the threshold?**

I've applied to multiple programs at TUM and got directly admitted to all of them, except for Informatik — for that one I received a letter calling me in for the admission test. I clear the threshold, over 90, but they never even showed me a rating/score out of 100 before sending the test notice. Did that happen to someone before? abitur under 1.5 and assesment over 90, then invited to take a test?

Has anyone actually gone through this test? What should I focus on, what's it actually testing, any material worth using to prep? I genuinely remember close to nothing relevant — had a gap year in between — so starting basically from zero here.

Informatik Mit Nebenfach help

I will be applying for informatik bachelor this semester. As its known a minor fach is required. What i have in mind are either the 150 30 or the 180 integrated. Talking about the job aspect, how much significance does that nebenfach or integrated actually hold. Would nebenfach hold the same value as integrated. Would my certificate still be classified as informatik. I dont get the whole idea.
And how would it be regarding the masters aspect. Like doing a masters in tum in the tech or stem fields. Because i really have no likings nor for deep math and nor for other casual stuff. So if theres no importance or difference, might as well just take the easiest thing unless theres a job difference aspect or Masters degree effect, then it would make a difference.

International Student: Choosing between CS vs Engineering for Cybersecurity at TUM/LMU/RWTH/DARMSTADT/KIT

So, im in this phase of having to apply for bachelor programs. Im an international pursuing education in germany. My initial plan was computer science since it was promising and i finished a highschool degree in it but you all know how its going. I will be applying to 5 universitites , computer science is an option in all of them and then i will add other stuff related to engineering etc so i can buy my self more time to decide. I think that the field of cybersecurity can be suitable for me , thus here is my question. What is the career path in univeristy that people usually take in order to get into this field. Is it computer science, is it something engineering related. Because i really cant find any clear answer. I know i have to do other certificates and deskjobs etc but i have problems. My initial step is to decide which bachelor is suitable for this route to apply . Is it cs , is it something engineering related, im completely lost. Any type of advice helps whether worldwide or german related, since my final goal is a job where i have the ability to work remotely and in an office so it offers flexibility no matter where i am situated.
