Does Kannur have the worst town roads in Malabar?

Take any town, both pedestrians and drivers there feel the suffocation. Even the main town doesn't have a wide, comfortable road. Every few meters, it's either a pothole or a patchwork, equally uncomfortable. Especially for scooter riders. You can feel the earth's curvature at Thana signal. The technology used to pour asphalt in a wave like manner at the Melechovva junction is truly remarkable. The Thazhechovva bypass driving experience is a do or die for two wheelers, thanks to the unscientific repairs. I still don't know who decided to put Secura mall and Nahdi Mandi there, because their traffic simply cannot be handled by that one lane bypass. Don't get me started on pocket roads to reach our main attractions like Muzhappilangad or Payyambalam beaches. We all know how bad Puthiyatheru is. Everyone is hoping the NH66 solve these problems, especially those who have to commute in Thalassery town.

Do we have a sentimental attachment with traffic blocks or are we so silent to not enforce the responsible to do their job?

Doesn't other districts have comfortable roads with proper traffic handling, or even a stretch of wide road within the town area? Meanwhile Kannur town is literally a loop of poorly planned tarmac.
