replacing diffusers and removing rags
finished this morning, we tried to get in before it got hot. we replaced 15 missing diffusers, found 4 of them on the floor and the rest are staying in the bottom of the sump, tried to use a rake to fish them out. and take out all the rags , sometimes the diffusers will have rags (baby wipes) in them and you can poke it out with a screwdriver. (it’s not biannual it’s Biennial every two years ) if blowers turn off or air flow unbalanced between two tanks and one tank not getting air, it will go septic and smell horrible
waste activated sludge at 2% solid is sent to the dewatering press and dewatering even more to 14% so it can be hauled by a truck to the landfill
do this twice a year for inspection
so far i dont have many complaints. the screen run good no once has it alarmed out in two years since install
resetting the blower and taking the Lag lag blower #3 offline so the control loop can send signal to blower #5 to start
thickening process, waste activated sludge is stored in aerated tanks then sent to the gravity thickeners, mixed with polymer and dewatered to 2% then sent to another sludge holding tank for dewatering presses
6000scfm with 1 blower
2 million gallon basin with aerators on basin floor
