I am learning AI/ML, doing some development work, and will probably get deeper into heavier workloads in the future. I checked the differences between the M4 Pro and M5 Pro, and honestly the jump doesn’t seem massive to me. I can still afford the M5 Pro, but I’m confused whether it’s worth buying right now.

What’s making me hesitate is all the talk about the M6 generation potentially bringing a much bigger upgrade OLED display, redesigned chassis, better efficiency, and overall a more significant leap from Apple compared to the current generation.

My concern is simple

If M5 Pro is already more than enough for AI/ML and long-term usage, I’ll buy it now.But if M6 is expected to be a major generational jump, maybe waiting would make more sense.

Had a terrible experience with Aptronix.

Ordered a MacBook Pro M4 for ₹2L+ using ICICI Bank credit card because they showed it “in stock.” Next day, they called saying it’s not available.

After that, it was weeks of follow-ups with no proper updates, constant “wait 2 more days” excuses, and at one point they even said they don’t have funds to process the refund.

Had to raise a dispute with ICICI, and after 1 month, finally got my money back.

Don’t trust Aptronix online listings. Stick to reliable sellers like Vijay Sales or buy offline.
