Visit in mid September

After USA Labor Day, do the crowds lessen , the ferry service easier to access and most importantly the lodging options become more affordable … or does that not really happen until October?

I’m beginning to plan a trip in a month. I’m thinking that waiting until October would probably increase the chance of weather impacts. So mid-September is the choice for now.
Oh and we are trying to avoid the bigger cities and see the nature and small town attractions. (Already been to Victoria and Butchart)

Rewards points to Dollars?

Has anyone done the basic calculations on what rewards points equate to dollars?
Doesn’t have to be exact but if a person had say, a quarter million points…what value in $$$ is that (approximately)

Hill is …

Easily the best low-key pickup in recent history by the Phils.

He is unreal in the field and on the basepaths. His energy is exactly what we need on this team.
And yes people, he’s a right handed hitting outfielder.
Cool.

Discovery Bay

We are renting an Air BnB this coming week in Discovery Bay and have a bunch of open time in our schedule.
We have been to PT several times and really enjoy it there.

While we certainly have not seen or explored everything in PT or on the east side (Hadlock/Marrowstone/Ludlow) we have been through there for a few picnics too.

Instead of driving all over, at least one day we would like to look around Discovery Bay.
Online resources would make it appear that our exploration would take 15 minutes 😅

Where to go, what to do ,etc in the DB area?

I’ve been recognized

Today I have been given the title of Basement Dweller for logging into Reddit for 2 consecutive years.

I do not currently live in a basement but my activity on this app would indicate otherwise.

I know there are many others out there like me. I’m pleased to be hear and a part of such a wonderful, partly pathetic recognition!!! I couldn’t have done it without you. (Or could I??)

400 ft HR record tonight in Las Vegas?

I’m watching the Athletics versus Brewers in a wild one out in Las Vegas.

Langeliers hit the first pitch of the game 483 ft to get the scoring started and it just didn’t stop!

As I type, it’s 14-10 Milwaukee with 9 home runs so far!

But my question comes from the fact that (according to the MLB app) 8 of these home runs have been hit over 400 ft.

5 of the HR cleared over 450 ft!

Does the league keep records on how many extra long Home Runs are hit in a game?

(Tried changing flair/tag to statistics but it bounced back to standings)

It’s time to find someone to apply moss treatment to my roof.

2 stories so there’s no way for me to do it at my age…

Has anyone had their roof done recently and care to share recs?

Prefer a local company (Clark County) if possible.

Also I heard that the service is far more expensive than it used to be. Not a surprise since everything has sky-rocketed but if you have a rough estimate on cost that would be helpful as well.

Thanks in advance!
