How do you think your romances will fare by the end of the game? And who has it best and worst?

I love my >!Madness!!<Oscar romance scene, but holy shit, I don’t trust that’ll end well. True love’s kiss barely fucking works! Regular Oscar should be fine… I think…

I don’t see how my relationship with Wayne will work out—because even though I trust his words enough to be the truth, I don’t see our objectives aligning any more than not wanting anyone trapped in the Scarlet estate again, especially with >!Breakdown!!<Tabitha being someone to put better stock in.

Stella seems to always love Tabitha more than us.

We’ll have to see about Avery after EP 5 >!because even if they live, they lost the one Scarlet Hollow resident that really liked and trusted them in most world states. Or they could just be dead depending on whether Doctor Kelly is available…!<

I have tried so hard to flirt with Doctor Kelly that tbh I will be satisfied if we can finally just go on a date. The rest doesn’t matter to me.

Devs let me romance Franklin in a future update please :)

It’s just that during Tabitha’s confrontation scene, she says Wayne is a mistake. Not her mistake, but one that will never happen again.

The curse is at its most vulnerable point with three powers vying for their own resolution in the wake of Pearlanne’s passing, and Wayne is in a position to be his own advocate in this because of his newfound freedom.

So what was the mistake—>!that Wayne found the secret prison at all? That Pearlanne killed him and he became the new host for the Entity? That Wayne escaped from said prison and the Estate, but how so? With the aid of someone like Sybil, a fluke in the ritual process, or on their own?!<

>!But if it was Sybil, then why didn’t he just use that weird magical word written into the wall whenever he visited her? Unless those words can only be utilized in her mind palace dimension.!< Okay… maybe not Sybil then, but I wonder why he visited her at the General Store so frequently. I mean we understand her side of their relationship much more than his—she called him a “grifter”, “someone who will eventually pass” because she was about to eat him for his power.

It’s kinda funny how Sybil & Tabitha frame Wayne’s existence to us to keep his true nature and their true motivations hidden. It’s even funnier in runs where you do somehow learn to trust him and tell them, and they start stammering at us like we are crazy idiot for doing so.

I bought this game a while ago when EA first released, but never into it until I realized that the full release is coming up soon. I’ve racked up 130ish hours so quick & on Spring YR 3, and I just finished the carpenter renovation.

I’m close to hitting 8 hearts with all the bachelors & bachelorette’s, so I’m gonna split save from there and customize my character based on who I’m romancing.

It took me a while to get back into a farming sim, but I love the (character) customization & NPCs in this game. I especially love how they interact with each other, which only helps the community feel more alive.

Any recs on what to play next? I have already played BG3, My Time at Sandrock (highly recommend if you haven’t played this yet and need something after FoM), Stardew Valley, Hogwarts Legacy, and the Dragon Age series.

I just really love games with NPCs that feel alive and have narrative flow. Also, good romance 🫶

I have absolutely loved Olivia Rodrigo since HSMTMTS. Knowing that she wrote “All I Want” at her age for Disney’s flagship series, she became an inspiration for me since I am the same age as her and Filipino as well. After Driver’s License dropped I became an avid fan and advocate for her career seeing a girl like me break through so many records.

It sucks because I started to silently dislike Sabrina Carpenter and compare them against each other, despite Sabrina Carpenter being one of the Disney girls I supported and adored the absolute most. (Literally made a Tumblr in middle school to like and repost posts about her and Lucas from GMW) I didn’t send hate or try to fuel the fire in any way, but I rooted for Olivia Rodrigo to win over her in the minute ways she could (a cuter boyfriends, more awards, etc.) in my head. I felt like I couldn’t listen to Sabrina, so I dismissed her work even though I knew she wasn’t at fault.

Joshua was the one at fault here, but it feels minor in comparison to what he had to go through. I started seeing clips of him talking about how he almost died in the hospital because of the massive influx of hate towards him. It wasn’t until I gave a listen to his EP’s “Used to It” that he talks about how she didn’t respond in anyway to him almost dying and that she told their friends that she hopes it hurts. Knowing that on top of her not addressing their hate trains at all or at least very late into them, changed my opinion on her back then. I still liked her, but I stopped my—candidly-speaking—misogynistic view of Sabrina Carpenter and her music, especially once Nonsense & Feather came around.

Now I’m a big advocate for Sabrina Carpenter, but I do feel guilty about being misogynistic towards her that I can’t tell if my soured opinion of Olivia Rodrigo is because of her actions or a projection of guilt and an act of recompense. TBH, I do still love her and follow her music, but after listening to (half of) Rookie (as of now), I can’t pretend that her songs, the hate trains, and lack of an immediate response to the situation didn’t lead to Joshua’s Ketamine addiction, getting stalked, death threats, damaged reputation, a heart attack, and suicidal ideation, which must be similar to Sabrina’s situation as well.

Olivia is often lauded for speaking up for her values and beliefs, but I wish she used her voice here. If she did, I wouldn’t have to guess whether it was a choice she made or her team’s. I do believe she is a good person, but seeing how squeaky clean her public image is and how beloved she is juxtaposed by the other people in involved does nag at me now.

I know that a lot of people will probably say that I’m being parasocial; I’m not trying to be, just that 2/3 people involved are now global superstars and a lot of this is what ends up on my FYP. I just didn’t realize how much Rookie affected my opinion with her when I noticed how it affected my experience of her newest singles. I honestly do want to listen to her newest album without having all this in my mind & I haven’t seen any posts talking about this in good faith (literally have only seen hate posts about Joshua’s book).
