I’m a budget traveler and trying to decide if I should keep or cancel my Chase Sapphire Preferred.

My travel style:
• I always book the cheapest decent hotel
• I fly basic economy and plan trips around cheap flights
• I never pay for business/first class or check bags

From what I’ve seen a lot of “great” points redemptions are for business/first class flights or pricier hotels which I’d never book anyway.

Does it make more sense to downgrade and cash out? Curious if anyone else with a similar budget travel style has found good value with Chase points.

I used a Capital One Offer for 70x miles on Temu and wanted to see if others have had similar experiences.

Here’s exactly what I did:

• Clicked the offer through Capital One Offers

• Got redirected to Temu and created an account

• Completed a purchase in the same session

It’s now been over a week and the offer still shows as “waiting” (not “pending”).

Has anyone had offers stay on “waiting” this long and still eventually track?

At what point should I assume it didn’t track?

If it didn’t track, has anyone had success getting Capital One to manually credit miles?

I didn’t have an ad blocker on or anything like that. I also completed this on mobile. Would appreciate any answers or data points!
