I’m twenty married to a man who has been financially abusing me. I have no access to use his money. He persuaded me to quit my job & only after I had did I realize his debt. We were living together & we share a car due to him selling mine without telling me. He says I am a stay at home mom for our dogs since I refuse to have kids with him due to his behaviors. We live in a town when I know no one, & my family all live over a thousand miles away. Any help is appreciated, I’m also open to advice. I already started a go fund me but have payment apps as well. I plan to leave him once I have enough money, contact lawyers, & get my dogs to a safe place provided by my family that is a 1,000 away. Thank you for any & everything in advance.

Hello. I’m twenty years old & currently married to the man who has groomed me since I was 16 & he was 19. Now a year older than he was I’m recognizing the signs I was too blind to see. He sold my car behind my back & begged me not to work. He went to basic training & left me in charge of the finances. The moment he left his account was already -650 & his ‘ back up account’ was -400. I had left my job to watch our dogs as he asked & realized the mistake that it was. Before I knew it I had accrued 3,000+ in debt. I had been paying off his car for months & now as his bills came in I had to pay them since I was using his car, & living with him. I had to become completely dependent on him & the money that he lacked. It’s been a year & I finally have the courage to leave. I have a go fund me, but honestly feel free to message me if you are able to help or even advice. We live in a town where I know no one & 1,000+ miles from any family. I have no transportation & jobs within walking distance are not hiring yet or just aren’t interested in me. Please anything is more than I have, I have two dogs I plan to keep in this separation & am desperate to get a head start on my new path of life to come.
