For context I live on the corner of a cul-de-sac. A couple of weeks ago I came home to find someone had put a large pallet with a sign for a building/driveway company on the each corner of the road I live in. The signs were leaning up against my garden wall and the garden of the house opposite. I thought at the time this was odd and was a little annoyed as no one had asked me if this was ok, so I just laid the sign facedown as I didn’t really want it to look like I was advertising a company I didn’t know and hadn’t used. I tried ringing the number on the sign but it just rang out. On the Monday the sign on my neighbours garden had gone (moved further up the road) but the one in my garden had been picked up and was facing out again. I left it another couple of days but then got annoyed again and moved it up the road to be with the other sign. A few days later one of the signs up the road had gone but the other was back leaning against my property! I moved it across the road in anger and literally 10minutes later it was back so someone must be watching. So I tried calling again but still no answer. Why have they not talked to me about this? Why have they removed the one from my neighbours but keep putting the one back next to my house? I’m tempted to put it in my boot and drive it several streets away. AITA?
UPDATE Just talked to the neighbour across the road, turns out these cowboys tied one of these signs to their fence, twice, as well as tying one to a lamppost in the same road! They were able to tell me which house had used the builders so we both carried the sign up the road and have just chucked it in their front garden. Let’s hope it stays there!
