Toronto - Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre

I’m travelling to Toronto in August with my two teens (boy and girl, 14 & 16) and am considering the Marriott downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Location seems great and in walking distance to a lot of things. Any drawbacks of the area I should be aware of?

Also, bed allocation is always tricky as my kids don’t love the idea of having to share a bed. My son gets his own then my daughter is stuck with me (mom) but she grumbles about it. I try to do rollaway beds as often as possible but I called the hotel and they can’t offer it for the rooms with two doubles. The pics show a small sofa though - would that be comfy enough for a young teen to sleep on? Pic for reference!

5 days with teens?

I’m taking my kids (16 & 14) to Toronto in Aug. main reason is for a concert that my son wants to go to and we’re building a vacation around it. Other things we want to do:
- blue jays game
- Niagara Falls
- visit schitts creek filming locations (this is for me! If it has to be cut I’ll survive)

If we are there Mon-Sat is that enough time? Only really gives us 4 full days.

Other must do’s? We’re from Alberta so it’s not like we can just pop over anytime!

ETA: thank you for such great feedback! I’ll answer a few questions here.

- We’ll be there the week of August 10th
- My son loves a wide variety of music and collects vinyl, so exploring record shops will be on his list. He also loves history and enjoys museums / art galleries.
- My daughter likes sports (she would probably love the hockey hall of fame)
- We all like sightseeing, being in nature, bike rides, trying new foods, exploring fun neighborhoods
