I hope to find some useful Tips from you for my recently bought 4 color eink display.

I bought a screen similar to this one:

I thought about making a Household To Do tracker. Like in the background is a database how often a todo has to be done. For example wash bed cover every 4 weeks. Clean the floor every week.

The screen should display the nearest upcoming todo and signaling with a color how urgent it is.

I'm already that the flickering (see in the video at around 1 minute) is to annoying to display something.

How do you find the idea and do you have ideas to improve it ?

I was thinking about implementing it also with an esp32 and the database runs on the device.

Mein nächstes Ziel ist es, ein weiteres zu bauen und einen "Reservierungs"-Server, der die verschiedenen Reservierungen für die einzelnen Tische verwaltet. Außerdem überlege ich, andere Funkprotokolle anstelle von WLAN zu verwenden.

Ich freue mich auf eure Vorschläge.

P.S.: seid nett, es ist eine meiner ersten Erfahrungen mit farbigem E-Ink und ich bin nur ein Hobbyist (nichts Professionelles)

I'm thinking of ordering one and use it to show different screens but maybe I better go with a monochrome one?

Ich wollte euch meinen ersten Einsatz eines **farbigen** E-Ink-Displays vorstellen.

Ich habe versucht, mit dem E-Ink-Display etwas für ein Restaurant zu entwerfen, und dafür habe ich ein **smartes Tischreservierungsschild** entworfen.

Der ESP beherbergt einen lokalen Webserver und aktualisiert den Bildschirm bei Bedarf. Die Treiberplatine unterstützt einen Akku, und ich habe eine Akkulaufzeit von wenigen Monaten berechnet, wenn der Webserver nicht lokal auf dem ESP läuft, sondern eher auf einer Reservierungsplattform.

I wanted to present you my first use of a colored eink display.

For a contest I tried to design something with the eink display for a restaurant and therefor I designed a smart table reaervation sign.

The esp hosts a local webserver and updates the screen when needed. The driver board supports a battery and I calculated a battery time of few month if changed that the Webserver isn't running locally on the esp and more like on a reservation platform.
