WTS: Reduced! NOS 1997 Namiki Vanishing Point in Burgundy <f>

WTS: Reduced! NOS 1997 Namiki Vanishing Point in Burgundy <f>

SOLD SOLD SOLD

This is the last of my trio of NOS Namiki VP's. I'm selling it for $300 $280 $250 with insured ground shipping to the con US. It has one tiny tiny blemish that's maybe a quarter of a grain of rice (see the photos), otherwise flawless and never inked or used!

Sub rules apply; PayPal G&S only. Insured shipping included unless you want priority or international. I will shoot to get your pen(s) in the mail the next business day. Con US preferred, but if you’re outside the country, I’ll see what’s possible and will present transparent info on shipping.

More info: This pen is SWEET! Absolutely brand new old stock and A1 (sadly missing the original tag) gorgeous, burgundy faceted V.P., originally from a boxed set of 3. I bought the set hoping to score some wider grinds, which didn't pan out. The Namiki Vanishing Points were destined for the U.S. market, produced between 1994-1999. The nib is an <f>, made in Pilot’s Hiratsuka factory and marked June (A697). I imagine they were sold as a set sometime in 1998, put on a shelf, and forgotten about. Because they are NOS, I have not filled or dipped them. I have done nothing more to these pens than give them a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth and a tiny splash. Please see my video in which I briefly submit the nibs and converters to a brief ultrasonic bath to verify that they were never inked (sorry about the insane audio). As always, feel free to request further documentation. Given its NOS status, I recommend giving it a flush or two before using.

N.B.: See Doodlebud’s faceted VP video for a deep dive into the magic of these beloved pens. Also, anecdotal evidence suggests that the faceted bodies are not as bulletproof as modern, conical VP’s. Please take that into consideration before you drop one of these baddies into the bottom of your bag.

This is a repost with updated info and reduced prices. Hope I'm doing it right! Image and verification here Please note that the top pen as well as the case sold already. Edit: the bottom pen has also sold. The middle pen, with the minor blemish, is still available for $280 w/ insured ground shipping.

These puppies are SWEET! Absolutely brand new old stock and A1 (sadly missing their original tags) gorgeous, burgundy faceted V.P.’s, originally from a boxed set of 3. I bought this set hoping to score some wider grinds, which didn't pan out. The Namiki Vanishing Points were destined for the U.S. market, produced between 1994-1999. They are all <f> units from 1997 and made in Pilot’s Hiratsuka factory, one marked June (A697) and the other marked December (A1297). I have done my best to share photos of all parts of the pens close up, including the singular blemish I found on the middle pen. The bottom pen is perfect. The last three photos are (shitty) close ups through my loupe of the tipping of the nibs from top to bottom. As always, feel free to request further documentation. Given their NOS status, I recommend giving them a flush or two before using.

Asking $300 $280 for the middle pen (tiny blemish see photos) and $350 $300 (perfect condition) for the bottom pen with insured ground shipping included.
