Image 1 — Our water features are 100 years old (built by Olmsted in mid 1920s) but our house (in the background) was built 9 years later in 1934 (delayed and “downsized” due to the Depression). I don’t know how old the wisteria vine is (behind my dog), but she’s a beaut! (PNW)

If Madonna does end up moving forward with a movie, she should just make it documentary style with her own artistic stamp (new and old music interspersed through out?) and her narrating it. Live action films about iconic people can be challenging…

What’s a so-so (or lesser known) Broadway song that is totally elevated by a specific performance? I was listening to the Guys and Dolls (1992) revival cast recording and “Marry the Man Today” with Faith Prince and Josie de Guzman is so funny and alive that it changed the song for me.

One of my favorite parts of Rain is the layered spoken dialogue. It seemed so unique at the time. So imagine my surprise when I realized that Everybody uses almost the exact same effect (in a more simplistic way). She really knew her own artistic language from the very beginning.

If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s a riot and Lushious was just at Madonna’s show at the Abbey in LA.

There are so many great shows to choose from at the moment!

Fallen Angels is fun, though really just a showcase for some brilliant comedic acting by Rose Byrne and Kelli O’Hara.

And Rocky Horror blew me away! I am not familiar with the movie, but I recognized a lot of the songs. The cast is stacked!

I feel recharged!
