After a year of waiting and searching…

Finally bought a clean GT (140), been searching the last year for a good option (Ireland) been so hard to find something worth the money but found this for a good price, underbody is clean expect a single spot in rear arch to be welded up for road test, 190k miles 2 owners, can’t fucking wait to get this thing going, what mods should I do first?

How high mileage is too high

So basically im a young lad looking for my second car, already decided what it will be have my eyes set on a 1zz facelift celica, problem is the southern market is absolutely abysmal for these cars and the northern market is nonexistent right now (to my knowledge and research)

Before i finally pull the trigger on one of these id love to know if anyone has advice on the 1zz engine and how high is too high to buy, current car is a 1.6 turbo diesel with 307km on it, still runs like a dream which might blind me to the real story that mileage can tell current listing ive been interested in is a 04 with 192k miles , is that for sure too high to think about, or would it be ''fine''

Bringing/importing a car from the north expected costs

18 with a year driving experience (named driver) , in the market for a 2003+ Celica and the market in the republic is just not what id be comfortable with spending the money on, either priced too high or condition just not what im happy with, been doing some searching up north and Uk and finding alot better pricing and condition for what i want, will be keeping the Celica for many many years and need a good base to start on, whats the situation like with bringing a car from a) the north to the republic and (b) Uk excluding NI to the republic, how badly will vrt run me, ive been looking at some estimations and word of mouth and even with the vrt and tax it'll bring i will likely still end up paying nearly the same amount if not slightly more for a car in better condition and lower mileage (on average). The exact spec im looking for is the 1zz engine as id prefer that, emissions are lower and so is power so should hopefully work in my favor

What problems can i expect out of this, insurance shouldn't be too much of an issue as quotes in the past have been good (really good actually), had a extremely unfortunate insurance claim the last few months but will have the suck up the extra cost insurance will run me if im finally getting a car ill love, any advice helps, thanks
