Looking for movies where people or entities imitate humans almost perfectly and the whole tension comes from slowly realizing something is “off” about them. I really love paranoia-heavy stories where you don’t know who to trust, especially in contained settings like houses or apartments with lots of psychological tension and uncomfortable conversations. It can be horror, sci-fi, thriller, mystery, or even something weird/funny as long as it has that unsettling “this person isn’t normal” vibe.

Already watched and loved The Thing, Coherence, Get Out, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Would love more recommendations with a similar atmosphere.

I really loved the multiverse concept in Doctor Strange and I am looking for romance novels with a similar idea. Like alternate universes or timelines where the hero is trying to find or save the same girl across different versions of reality. Sci-fi romance or romantic thriller. Commercial and fast paced preferred.
