Just a brief note on self sabotage...

While going over what happened for the ___ time I tried to see a bit of a different point of view on some things I have told myself prior.

"She's not even my type"... you are, in fact my type. Although it has nothing to do with beauty. It has to do with a cycle I am in. A cycle of masochism. Self loathing and self sabotage. A trifecta of fuckery.

Like how my current mirrors my abuser, and you in turn mirror my current and back again. All in a different way - but the same at its core.

Allowing myself to love the rose so much,

That I don't realize my hands are bleeding as I pick them.

I want to find adventure with you.

Let's close our eyes together and walk hand in hand.

What's on the other side of that hill?

What secrets lie hidden in that forest?

A pirates treasure.

A lost civilization.

There is only one way to find out.
