Anyone Still Playing MW3 Third-Person Mode? Looking for TPP Players/Communities

Anyone still likes playing MW3 (2023) in third-person mode/private matches?

I still sometimes play TPP private matches with bots because I really like the third-person style from MW2/MW3. Looking for people who also enjoy TPP gameplay casually.

Is there any Discord server, Reddit community, or other social media group for third-person COD players?

MW3 (2023) on Steam - Do I still need COD HQ or is it standalone?

I’m confused about MW3 (2023) on Steam.

If I install MW3 multiplayer only (by selecting the packs like Multiplayer/Campaign/Zombies), does it still install COD HQ automatically in the background?

Or is MW3 actually standalone now without needing the full COD HQ launcher system (Warzone/MW2/BO6 hub etc.)?

Because in my Steam download it looks like MW3 is downloading separately, not the big HQ app.

So basically my question is:
Do you still need COD HQ installed to play MW3 multiplayer in 2026, or can MW3 run fully standalone on Steam?

I mainly play multiplayer and care about smooth gameplay, no interruptions, stable FPS, and fewer launcher issues. I already use Steam for most of my games, but a lot of people still say Battle.net is better for COD.

Is anyone here currently playing MW3 on Steam in 2026? How’s the experience now?
