New angelfish

New angelfish

I just got this stunning new red lava angelfish yesterday, but he seems pretty unhappy. So far he spends all his time hiding behind the pump. He’s the only angelfish- his tank mates are tetras, and he lives in a densely planted 125 gal tank. I have not kept angels since I was a child; is this normal?

Deformed cardinal tetra

This is Lil F*cker. Lil F*cker is clearly deformed. The weird thing is that he’s at least 1.5 years old. He’s been deformed the whole time. (Behind him you’ll see another card I bought at the same time that isn’t deformed.) Best I can tell, he’s physically healthy and happy. He lives in a 125 gal with about 30 other tetras. Is he ok? Is there anything I can do? I read a lot that these deformed fish are suffering and are destined to die a slow, painful death, but Lil F*cker seems happy? Advice please. I love him very much and want him to have a good life.
