Stop ripping my free patterns off

I work long and hard to make my patterns and offer them for free online.

I really do not have a problem with someone making the item once but making it multiple times without giving me credit is just not on!

Honestly, if you like it enough to make more than once then you MUST acknowledge me as the creator - it really takes only a matter of moments to embroider "Designed by: Butch Cassidy, 14th November 2022" on either your blanket border or up the side of your scarf or wrap. Must be in a contrast colour - so black on white, etc..

If you do NOT do this you are breaking my copyright and I will bring the full weight of the law to bear on you

Who knew we had squirrels? I didn't!

I have recently become overly committed to feeding the local feather population and have been expanding my food repertoire. Suet balls and blocks seem to be eternally popular and I added some berry suet balls to my arsenal earlier this week.

We mainly get pigeons, collared doves and starlings visiting alongside a pair of jackdaws and a house sparrow (called Barry - he just looks like a Barry).

To keep an eye on their shenanigans I got a trail cam and watching the footage back gives me a lot of pleasure.

What I wasn't expecting to see was a grey squirrel performing acrobatics to get at the berry suet balls. Lived here since 1996 and never once have I seen a squirrel but suddenly, there he is.

Finished my Bobble Blanket!

I hope this fits the sub - I see it as Rainbow but if the Mods don't then fair play!

Crochet bobble blanket in Emu Classic DK on 4mm hook. Started it February 2nd and finished June 6th.

Fits a double bed but the room is small and I can't back up far enough to get the whole thing in shot - stupid wall gets in the way.

Finally managed to finish my Bobble Banket - roll on Autumn!

Started February 2nd and finished June 6th.

I know the colours aren't to everybody's taste and a couple of them I am not keen on but overall I am really happy with the finished blanket and am looking forward to the Autumn so I can pop it on my bed.

Worked in Emu Classic DK on a 4mm hook and the base pattern was taken from Hooked By Robin

Need some opinions and advice

I am looking for a book of shawl and/or wrap patterns.

However, I am concerned about the chance of ending up with something full of AI garbage that simply will not work right off the pattern - I don't have time (or the skill) ot be fixing a pattern.

So, are there any pattern makers/authors out there that I should be looking out for?

Any particular books you would recommend?

I am UK based and looking to purchase off the dreaded Amazon. Had a search and there are some I was looking at but they are all post 2025 publication dates and I am concerned that off the publishing date alone there could be AI tucked in there.

Examples of the ones that caught my eye:
Book 1

Book 2

Book 3

What's In Your RFY? Tuesday 9th June 2026

Got to love a slow night shift (probably jinxed myself there!)

Checked at 1pm and only new offerings are:

Cleaning Disk/Tablets Combo - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0GWDPRK6Z - Pass

Corner Protectors - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0G1T49WFV - Tempted as the husband managed to gash his leg open on a low shelving unit we have (I made a bumper with duct tape and foam packaging which is unsightly but saved it happening again and I can't be bothered pulling it off)

2am - Glitter Tattoo Kit - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0H3PX9VJJ - Pass

Nothing new in AI that I've seen either.

Hope you get something good today!

Finally found a way to work on my blanket

https://preview.redd.it/lbsma5xbk72h1.jpg?width=6000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c288ffd07fe40e90480f3e70c8d7fe7e9fd49a0

I've been struggling to work on my double bed sized blanket as now I am getting to the end it is incredibly heavy. I also noticed the starting end was beginning to pill a bit from constantly dragging about on the floor as I worked on it.

How it took me so long to realise I could pop it in to one of heavy duty supermarket "bags for life" and just pull out the top bit I don't know. I started this on the 2nd February so it's been a problem for a good few weeks.

Luckily this works really well - I just have to remember to flip rather than turn at the end of a row otherwise it turns in to a twister.
