Can you survive in Kochi on a ₹30k salary while renting?

I’m a woman in my mid-20s and I’m thinking of moving out. I’m looking at a 1BHK around Panampilly/Kadavanthra, or maybe a 2BHK with a roommate.

I’d ideally like somewhere safe and chill, with easy access to basic things like a gym, supermarket, pharmacy, etc. I’d also prefer a place where the landlords/other tenants are relatively chill.

I earn around ₹30k/month and I’m honestly a bit of a spender, so I know living alone on this salary will be a challenge. But I really want to see if I can make it work and still save at least a little.

For anyone living around this area, what does your monthly budget look like, and do you think ₹30k is realistically enough? Also, if you know any decent areas/buildings to look at, please let me know!

Basically, am I being unrealistic or can a girl make this work?

Girls of Kochi, does Kiko Milano at Forum allow lipstick trials?

Hey girls, just wanted to ask if the Kiko Milano store at Forum Mall allow lipstick/product trials or swatches before buying?

I’ve been wanting to try a few of their lip products, but if they don’t allow trials then I’ll probably just order online instead of going all the way there.

Would really appreciate if anyone who’s been there could let me know!

What are some good places to learn swimming in Kochi?

Looking for a good place to learn swimming preferably around Kadavanthra/Elamkulam areas. Somewhere that has good coaches, safe for women, and beginner friendly.

I work a 9–5, so flexible timings or early morning/evening batches would help. Bonus if it’s within walking distance from a metro station.

Would love some genuine recommendations :)
