need some more reccomendations (feel free to ask more about my preference)

I've listened to the moanin' album by art barkley, miles davis. Can anyone reccomend me some more really good jazz albums and songs. I really like the shorter (being 7-9 minutes) songs with the sort of baseline you hear in all blues (the song). I long really powerful and, "obvious" for a lack of a better word, kind of choruses that aren't too frequent. I also like the kinda stuff that makes you melt, contrary to my former statment; ones with no chorus that just go on and on like a train ride (please bear with me on that one T_T). Not a fan of guitar or too much drumkits, not to diss fusion jazz it's just not the thing I want to hear in a jazz song. And please nothing overly experimental I like the stereotypical instruments. If you want more specifics on what I mean you can ask away!

[sway] newbie rice (reupload with more window variety)

I've been using linux for 2 years maybe 3 and started arch linux about a year ago and this is the rice I've been running,

A nitpick I have with this subreddit is that most of the waybars look the same, with the triangle seperations and the nerd font stylization. Though it's a nitpick for a reason.

I want to improve it a lot though, I want to add widgets and slightly modify the waybar, please add critiques in the replies but don't be a dick about it!

  • Wallpaper: it's patchouli knowlage, I got it off of danbooru
  • kitty: the terminal on the left is running cli visualizer and the ascii art is a cirno plush(the font is maple mono)
  • the music player is called quod libet I'd highly reccomend it

[sway] newbies casual rice

I've been using linux for about 2 years now and I got arch linux about a year ago, this is what my rice looks like. There isn't any eww widgets they scare me. And my kitty terminal is moved there manually, the thing I'm proud of the most is my waybar. I think I did a really good job on it! but I'd like to improve it, starting with making it so my tabs organize themselves (mines just split in half for every tab I open) and I want to try out making a widget since they sound cool. So please do leave any tutorials or suggestions below

  • Wallpaper: it's patchouli knowlage from touhou project, found it on danbooru
  • Kitty: the ascii art is just a cirno fumo and the font is maple mono
  • Waybar: haven't figured out how to make a github repo of my dotfiles so it's gatekept until I figure out how or someone points out my stupidity ;-;
