prescribed seroquel for anxiety/ruminating thoughts but had weird auditory side effects, should i try it again?
i’m 18 and i was prescribed seroquel/quetiapine early on for anxiety and obsessive/ruminating thoughts, but i’ve only tried it twice because both times kinda scared me.
first time i took 25mg i got bad tinnitus/ringing. second time i took it, it was more like this weird tv static type sound that wasnt normally there, and it didnt feel like normal tinnitus either. it freaked me out enough that i havent taken it again.
she also recommended that I could even take 2 but the thought of hearing something again makes me more anxious.
i’m also on zoloft/sertraline 100mg and i’ve been on this dose a little over 6 weeks now. i’m still dealing with a lot of anxiety and obsessive thoughts/rumination, and my next doctor appointment isnt until the 22nd, so i feel kinda stuck.
i’m not asking anyone to tell me what to do medically, but has anyone else had weird auditory stuff from seroquel, especially at a low dose? I’m not and have never been schizophrenic. did you try it again or stop and ask for something else?
i’m gonna bring it up with my doctor either way, but i’m honestly not sure if i should even try taking it again after that happened.
