Northern Rescue

I watched this on Netflix and the actress who plays Lola on SC is in it. I actually really liked it but it was cancelled after one season. I'm currently watching Chesapeake Shores (on Hallmark) which I'm really enjoying. It's cheesy of course but if you like SC and VR you might like it and there are 6 seasons.

Not sure what to do...

I've never had pain or issues with digestion in my life. I'm 42 and a woman. A few weeks ago I had pain twice in one week. The first time it lasted a few hours. The second time it lasted about 12 hours and I went to the ER where they told me I had gallstones. They referred me to a surgeon for a consult and he said it's up to me but recommends it. I haven't had any pain since and have been eating low fat, since I found out the pain was triggered by fatty foods I had eaten. I can't afford my deductible so I have to see if they will let me do a payment plan, which is one of the reasons I have been putting off scheduling the surgery. Has anyone been able to put it off for a few months after an attack and been fine? I know I should get it out. It seems like the issues with keeping it can be risky with the stones, but getting it out also seems risky because even though you can live without a gallbladder, it's there for a reason and your body will adjust but still, it feels like a big thing.

Farm Animal Swaps and Sales

I was watching a Youtuber who has a bunch of farm animals. Cows, goats, chickens, pigs, horses, cats to keep mice away and dogs to protect the farm. She lives somewhere in the midwest and went to a farm sale thing where backyard breeders (I'm assuming) sell a million different kinds of animals: snakes, bunnies, puppies, kittens, ducks, turtles, goats, tarantulas, horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, rats etc etc etc. It was endless and it made me so uncomfortable and angry. They were all crammed in cages. This must be a normal thing in the midwest or maybe it's normal everywhere and I just grew up in the suburbs in the northeast and now live in a very liberal city. Anyway, I don't see this specific issue talked about much. Like, what do people even do with these animals? Do they just breed and sell them around and around in a cycle? Do they eat them? Do they keep them as pets? It's very strange to me.

Just got back from the ER

A few days ago I had pain in my stomach that lasted a few hours. I was okay for a couple days, but then yesterday I was at work and had severe pain I had to leave work. It lasted the rest of the day and night, I couldn't sleep. Finally decided to go to the ER and they did an ultrasound. Turns out I have gallstones. I had an egg and cheese sandwich from a restaurant which and a few sips of an iced latte, so looks like I can't have those anymore. I have to have a follow up with a surgeon at some point, but for now, they just told me to change my diet and pick up some meds at the pharmacy (600 mg Ibuprofin).

I used to be vegan and tried it again for a month back in April. My digestion was pretty great, but then I went back to eating like crap. I think I'm going to have to go back to it again, but I'm so scared of another flair up. I can't afford to miss work but it's excruciating pain. I need some help with meal ideas in the meantime, vegan or otherwise. I'm afraid to eat anything. I haven't eaten anything since yesterday afternoon, so I just made a smoothie using vegan protein powder, lowfat plain yogurt, and a lot of frozen berries. I need to go grocery shopping because I can't eat anything else I have. I guess on the plus side of this, I'll lose the 100 pounds I need to lose.

Need help with my parents dog

My parents have a bernedoodle, about about two and a half. They've had her since she was 8 weeks and she came from a breeder (probably a mill and not socialized properly). She is very territorial. Barks at anyone who comes near the house, also barks at other dogs when she's on a walk. They are in their 70's and don't get a lot of visitors. She is very friendly with me (I don't live with them) because I've spent a lot of time with her, but whenever I walk in the house she still barks like crazy until she gets her excitement out and calms down. However, we had some family visit and this was their first time meeting the dog. The dog was going crazy barking and it was different than the barking she does with me. It was more aggressive, though she didn't go to attack them it was still very stressful and their was a child who was scared. Eventually she calmed down and was friendly with everyone. But then they went outside and came back in and she started the barking all over again. I don't have much faith that she's going to be trained out of this behavior. I'm just trying to help out my parents if I can because they're older and it's hard for them. I will also add that she goes to a dog camp three times a week and does great there, and she also goes on long walks with a dog walker down the street because my parents can't walk too far. She's never bitten anyone or nipped. So it seems to be a territorial issue with the house and my parents. Any advice would be appreciated!

Edit: I totally understand not wanting to or not being able to. The Sphere probably woudn't allow a professional stream anyway and it's something you need to experience in person. Just sad I can't go to what will probably be their last shows.

For those of us who can't go? Not sure how strict security is on that and you probably don't want to miss the experience, but I wasn't even a Taylor Swift fan until I saw a livestream of the Era's tour and No Doubt has been my number one band for almost 30 years 🥹
