Is it okay to call non-binary people “pookie”

Im unsure if this is a dumb question sorry 😭I come from a pretty conservative country so I’m still learning some social norms around gender but I always try my best to be respectful while I’m in the US. Recently I accidentally called a close friend of mine “pookie” The first time they seemed totally fine with it, but the second time they looked a little uncomfortable or offended. I’m not sure if I imagined it, so before I awkwardly bring it up to them directly I wanted to ask if it is something that could come across the wrong way for nonbinary folks out there.

Recommendations for plus size skates

Hi everyone! I’m 20 and I’ve never roller skated before, but I really want to get into it. I’m 350 pounds and 5’11 and honestly super scared of falling and breaking a bone, so I’m trying to prioritize safety over absolutely everything else. I’m also a size 10–11 in shoes, which has made finding skates pretty difficult.

Right now I’m thinking about getting the Sure-Grip Boardwalks, but I’ve seen some people say they’re harder for beginners to skate in, so now I’m second guessing myself. I don’t have a budget, I just want something stable and supportive.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for beginner. I’d also love recommendations for safety gear aswell. And If there’s anything that helped you feel more stable or confident when you first started skating, please let me know. I’m really excited to learn but also super nervous lol. Thanks so much 💕
