Finding A Good Serving Job

Hey, I've been serving in a restaurant group in Nashville at their downtown brunch spot (two shifts a week), their white people upscale restaurant (two shifts a week), and their steakhouse (three shifts a week) for a week. I also have a few years of hosting experience. The steakhouse is the bright spot on my resume: it's a well regarded place in Nashville, with $86 and $135 steaks.

I've been looking for something comparable in quality in NYC. I've been looking on Culinary Agents mostly, and briefly browsing on Indeed, but I haven't heard anything. I'm open to starting as a servers assistant; I have plenty of experience in bussing too. Any recommendations on how to find a serving position at a more upscale spot in NYC. I'll be living in Bushwick this summer, so I've been looking predominately in Downtown Manhattan.

I'm open to any and all ideas!

Help With Having All the Jobs I Work Currently on My Resume

Hey, this is more a question for service workers, but I'm a server at a pretty nice steakhouse ($88 Ribeye, $144 tomahawk, etc.), but the owner of the restaurant also owns an upscale Mexican place that I serve as well. Typically, I'm serving three shifts a week at one restaurant and two another. I've been at both restaurants for almost a year. But, I used to be a host before I served, and I still host a few times a week in the morning. I've been at that restaurant for a year. And as insane as it sounds, I also host twice a week at a fourth restaurant on the weekends at a brunch spot.

As insane as that sounds, I have student loans and car payments, and I definitely live above my means, and I just don't mind working an egregious amount in order to save a little too. But, I currently have all four restaurants on my resume, which some of my friends have noted that that isn't necessarily a good thing, and it's better to show that you work one or maybe two maximum stable jobs, rather than four jobs at once, because then the jobs themselves seem less valuable/stable.

I'm moving to nyc for grad school at the end of the month, and I've started applying for server positions on culinary agents, but I haven't heard from anyone yet. Do you think it might be my resume? Should I not list all four jobs on there? Or is culinary agents like LinkedIn or Indeed, where employers just get spammed with thousands of applicants for one position and its rare to hear back from anyone?

Does anyone have any advice?

Thoughts on East Harlem?

Does anyone have any opinions on the area around Marcus Garvey Park in East Harlem, between Park ave and Lexington, around 120th st? Any good bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. around there? Is it mostly young people or more of any older crowd? Is it generally safe? etc, etc.

Does anyone have any opinions on the area between the Bushwick Av-Aberdeen St station and the Chauncey St station right at the tail of Bushwick? Any good bars, restaurants, cafes, or shops in the area? Is it safe? Etc?
