Hey guys, the sun out here in Riyadh is brutal and my bonnet is starting to look like this.
It’s got a cloudy, faded patch right down the middle. Can this be saved with a good compound/polish, or am I looking at a total clear coat failure that needs a respray?

I’m based in Riyadh and currently super confused between 3 Chinese SUV options. Would really appreciate advice from people who have actual ownership experience, especially in GCC weather and long-term usage.
The options are:
BYD / Denza B5 (Deluxe version) ~ SAR 195,000
Jetour T2 iDM ~ SAR 161,000
Jetour G700 mid option ~ SAR 205,000
My usage is mostly:
city driving
school runs
daily family use
occasional highway trips
no off-roading
Right now I already have a Changan CS75 Plus, so I’m looking for something that feels like a genuine upgrade for the longer run.
My biggest concerns are:
battery reliability after 5 to 8 years
software stability and bugs
infotainment quality
AC performance in Riyadh heat ☀️
spare parts and service support
resale value
overall long-term ownership experience
The T2 iDM seems like the best value for money, but I’m wondering if the cheaper price will show in reliability or software later. The G700 looks amazing and futuristic, but I’m worried it may be too big for daily city driving and school parking. The B5 seems more refined from what people say, but is it worth paying more?
Or should I wait for any upcoming SUVs?
