Aftermarket 360° camera on Hyundai Venue HX8 Petrol DCT?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy the Hyundai Venue HX8 Petrol DCT, but one feature I'll really miss is the 360° camera. Has anyone here installed an aftermarket 360° camera on their Venue?

A few questions:

  1. How much did the complete installation cost?

  2. Is it integrated with the stock infotainment system and How's the camera quality and calibration?

  3. Any issues with warranty or electricals after installation?

Would love to hear your experience and any brand or installer recommendations. Thanks!

Test drove the Venue 1.0L Turbo DCT (HX 8) in Bangalore. The missing features are a dealbreaker for me.

Hey guys,

I’ve been planning to buy the Hyundai Venue Petrol 1.0L Turbo DCT (HX 8 variant). Here in Bangalore, it’s coming to around 16.5 L on-road, which is a pretty significant amount for a sub-4m SUV.

I finally took a test drive yesterday. Mechanically and driving-wise, everything felt great. The turbo petrol + DCT combo is smooth and responsive. But I came away pretty disappointed with the feature distribution on this variant, and it’s completely blocking my decision right now.

For a car costing 16.5 Lakhs, it lacks some serious essentials:

I feel like at this price range, Hyundai should have bundled these features into the HX 8 instead of pushing them exclusively to the top-tier HX 10 trim, which stretches the budget even further.

Is anyone else facing this dilemma with the newer variants?

For those who bought it, do you regret missing out on these features, or does the driving experience make up for it?

What are your views, guys? Should I stick with it, or explore other options like the XUV 3XO or nexon?

Thanks in advance!

For a car costing 16.5 Lakhs, it lacks some serious essentials:

  1. No 360-degree camera (Extremely useful for Bangalore traffic and tight parking).

  2. Basic Infotainment: It gets the same basic infotainment setup that looks like it belongs in the lower variants, rather than the premium setup.

  3. No Premium Audio: no premium speaker setup at this price point.

I feel like at this price range, Hyundai should have bundled these features into the HX 8 instead of pushing them exclusively to the top-tier HX 10 trim, which stretches the budget even further.
