I know the example is generic, but how often and in what context is the passive voice used in everyday Japanese? Feel free to give me real life examples.
Some background first: M24 from the US and I’ve been studying Japanese for a little over 4 years now. Using many methods such as Japanese from Zero, Genki, Anki, tutors etc. Recently, I’ve become less and less motivated to study since I don’t have an exact end goal or reason to besides the fact that I’ve been studying for years and don’t want to give up. Ideally, I would want to be in a position where I can use at least some Japanese in my daily life but I don’t have a degree or job that allows me to do so.
