(My)Amy Rose Fan Game Announcement💖

Title: Amy Rose: Rings Of Eternity

The Premise:

Amy and two of her gal-pals get randomly teleported to a different star system. Chosen by the arch mages of the six planets to stop a threat from their world. One who claims they're the long lost ruler of this realm and wishes to acquire their most valuable possessions: The Rings of Eternity. Now, Amy and their friends must travel from planet to planet to stop this evil.

The Tone:

A lot of people pretty much blank on what an Amy game would even be about, yet to me it felt pretty obvious. If Sonic is a shonen series, Amy is mahou shojo.

The vibes for this game is very much inspired by Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure, Ojamajo Doremi, Card Captor Sakurai, and, of course, Magic Knight Rayearth.

Most of the ideas I've seen is Amy simply just either cooking, or baking, or doing fashion. I want to take from magical girls series from the 50s to now that shows strength and feminity being one in the same.

The Gameplay:

A love letter to games such as Spyro The Dragon, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario Galaxy, and Sonic: Unleashed. With a lot of the worlds beings inspired by the beautiful level design of Sonic CD but brought into the 3rd dimension.

Speed is very crucial yet Amy and company will leap from place to place, reaching new heights. The planets of The Polaris System are know for their floating islands and musically inclined societies.

Through the power of tarot cards, Amy and friends will use the deck's many different spells to navigate this brand new world and even change themselves. Summoning the spirits of the cards.

Along the way, they will search for the Rings of Eternity each with the power of the planet they hail from. All of them combined can grant a miracle.

The Characters:

While each will get their spotlight, Amy is joined by a cast of colorful characters.

TEKNO THE CANARY 💚

A childhood friend, Tekno The Canary brings their genuis intellect. With their arsenal of gadgets and their trusty monkey wrench, they're a force to be reckoned with.

STICKS THE BADGER 🧡

Her (somewhat)polar opposite, Sticks The Badger brings their fierce instincts. A friend of nature and enemy of industry, she's thrives in this brand new galaxy.

BREEZIE THE HEDGEHOG 💛

After learning that they aren't a glorified badnik but the (stolen)reincarnation of the star system's once beloved ruler, she's now on a mission of intergalactic domination. And, is paying various other villainous handsomely in order to carry out her endeavors.

Characters Designs and Concept Art Coming Soon...

"Sega Does What Nintendon't"

To start, I am very much interested in a spinoff or fangame involving Blaze or Silver and support all endeavors surrounding such, including the one Silver fan game currently being done by a team of talented individuals. I love these characters(Blaze more) and they totally deserve more. And, at the same time, so does about a few other characters in the franchise who've been around much longer.

Tails is a noticeable pick seeing as he's basically the Luigi of the franchise. If Sega basically wanted a Bayonetta style game again, Rouge is right there. If the success of Donkey Kong Bananza meant anything, they'd be working on a Knuckles game.

And, by far the most scathing one is Amy. Someone who's been in thr franchise longer than everyone mentioned above if you know that her debut was in a Manga before CD and Sonic 2. If you didn't know before, suprise! New fun fact unlocked.

I find it so appalling that when people try to even fantasize about a possible game concept for these characters, they are questioned about if it'll make money. Like, wow. You people are the reason a book like The Songbird was written. Even as a possible fan game, people shut the ideas down. What happened to art for art's sake or just genuinely wanting to create and enjoy something? Even for just dreaming about the possibility, y'all shut that down. Wild.

Anyway, I've been looking at what Nintendo has been Nintendoing for the past few decades and it's been nothing short of honest effort to give spotlight to their other characters no matter if it's a big hit or not. I personally loved Princess Peach: Showtime, the new Yoshi games looks about as fun as the others, Luigi's Mansion is literally my childhood, and I can go on and on about the DK franchise alone with my 2025 game of the year, Donkey Kong: Bananza. Arguably, that game focusing on both DK and Pauline(or, Teen Pauline).

There's the saying that comparison is the thief of joy and at the same time, that saying doesn't work all the time. How do babies learn how to speak if they just stay content with their lack of language? I've been craving variety from Sega for ages and while a lot of it has been done with other Sega games(looking at you Super Ball Monkey), I feel there also needs to be more variety within Sonic. And, for those who think this is the most abhorrent thing you've ever heard of, just know a few things.

Nintendo didn't force you to play any of the games I've mentioned(or to purchase the $499 console). Sega didn't force you to play Shadow '05 or Knuckles Chaotix or Tails Sky Patrol(yes, I remember) or to listen to The Chaotix Case Files. The talented people behind the Silver game aren't forcing you to play their fangame(at least, I hope y'all ain't/j😳). I'm not forcing you to read about my Fleetway Amy inspired fangame, and no one is forcing you to hear about their own ideas. Just keep scrolling. I know who my audience is/will be and looking at the mist recent posts, I know that it belongs here and not just be relegated to the Amy sub(shout out to yall! You guys are legit!).

Just like how there is a rule against shipshaming, I feel it should be the same for the act of shaming fanmade concepts or just people generally proposing ideas for a spinoff. If Sega actually does make a spinoff of anyone, I'll be excited. We are 35 years in and I feel the franchise only has nothing but endless possibilities.✨️

Where/How Do I Start?

Alaafiya! (:

I know some of the people here are gonna be like "ah ah, 1000th post like this?" but it is what it is.

I'm a first gen from a Yoruba Nigerian family who needs help. Simply within the Detroit(😭) area. Chicago is also not off the menu, that city is awesome.

I've been researching about the culture since high school. Truly, it's a lot of reasons why I feel it is needed to do this. Biggest ones are decolonization, community, honoring ancestors, healing from evangelical religious trauma, being around others within yoruba culture who aren't blasting Smile FM 24/7.

Your advice is very much valued. Thank you <3
