Stuck in The Last of Us Part I – No Shiv Materials to craft and kill clickers, How Do I Proceed?

Stuck in The Last of Us Part I – No Shiv Materials to craft and kill clickers, How Do I Proceed?

I don't have the materials needed to craft a Shiv (I'm missing some ingredients), and I seem to be at an encounter where I thought I needed one to progress.

My current crafting inventory is:

- Binding: 1

- Blade: 0

I can't find any more nearby. Do I actually need a shiv to continue, or is there another way to get through the clickers?

Gaming Backlog Discussion

Hey fellow gamers, I recently realized I spend more time buying games than finishing them. Right now I'm juggling games like Spider-Man, God of War, and Batman, and my backlog keeps growing.

Do you finish one game before starting another, or play multiple games simultaneously? Or abandon games if they don't hook you after a few hours?

The official PlayStation 27" Gaming Monitor

https://youtu.be/-f1FCpaawmI?si=1W3NH7bQWJ4EZvAq

Just came across Sony's new PlayStation-branded 27" Gaming Monitor with a built-in DualSense charging hook.

Specs:

27" QHD (1440p) IPS panel

Up to 120Hz on PS5 / PS5 Pro

Up to 240Hz on PC

VRR support

Auto HDR Tone Mapping

Built-in DualSense charging hook

Launch price: US$349.99 (~₹30k+ before taxes/imports)

As a PS5 owner currently using a 27" QHD gaming monitor, I'm wondering whether this is actually a compelling product or just a PlayStation-branded monitor with a charging hook.

Would you consider buying this if it launches in India? What price do you think would make it worth it?

New PS5 Owner (Arriving Soon from Amazon) & First-Time Gamer — Is This My Ultimate Must-Play List or Am I Missing Any Essentials?

New PS5 owner here — first PlayStation ever, and I’m pretty new to gaming overall. I’ve put together my “must-play” list based on recommendations, visuals, story, and beginner-friendly picks.

Would love feedback from experienced PlayStation players:

  • Is this a solid starter list?
  • Am I missing any absolute must-play games?
  • What order would you recommend for a new gamer?

My current list:

  1. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
  2. Sackboy: A Big Adventure
  3. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  4. Astro Bot
  5. God of War
  6. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  7. Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
  8. UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection
  9. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
  10. Kena: Bridge of Spirits
  11. God of War Ragnarök
  12. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
  13. Red Dead Redemption 2
  14. Death Stranding Director’s Cut
  15. Grand Theft Auto V
  16. Hogwarts Legacy

I enjoy visually stunning, story-rich, fun games (big Marvel fan too), and I’m also looking for a few great family-friendly options.

Did I build a good “new PS5 journey,” or would you change/add anything?

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m about to buy my first-ever PS5 Digital Edition (completely new to console gaming) and I’m super excited.

I need advice on the best compatible screen/monitor for PS5. My priorities are:
• Great visuals for story-driven games (Spider-Man, God of War, etc.)
• Good value for money
• Smooth performance
• Beginner-friendly setup

I’m confused between:
• 27” vs 32”
• 1440p vs 4K
• 60Hz vs 120Hz
• Monitor vs TV

Budget is flexible, but I want the best balance of performance + price for a first-time buyer.

From what I’ve read, HDMI 2.1, 4K, and 120Hz can unlock the best PS5 experience, but many players also say 27” 1440p is the sweet spot for value. (Reddit)

Would really appreciate your recommendations (especially if you’re using PS5 Digital yourself). Thanks!
