Growing up, I could never have a PlayStation of my own. Every time I visited my cousins' or relatives' house, I'd just sit there watching them play. I was happy just watching, but I always wished that one day I'd have one too.

Today, after all these years, I finally bought my first PS5.

To most people it's just a console, but to me it's a childhood dream that finally came true.

Still can't believe I managed to get a sealed Ghost of Yōtei limited edition. Considering how difficult it can be to find even the regular disc version, I feel really fortunate.

Hello, my PS5 randomly turns off in the middle of a game, it may turn off after 10 minutes or it may turn off after 8 hours. And to turn it on, I have to unplug the device and then plug it back in. The power supply broke once before and I replaced it. It didn't work for a while, but then I encountered this problem. Even the USB port on the front of the device stopped working, which the repairman said was okay, but in short, it turns off in the middle of a game. I did everything you can think of, I cleaned the device board and the device fan as well, I bought a separate cooling fan for it, but it didn't work. Please help me and tell me where the problem is.

I've been thinking about this for the past few weeks and wanted some honest opinions from people who have experience with YouTube or game streaming.

A bit about me: I'm a web developer from India, currently earning around ₹80–90k/month. I already have a pretty decent PC setup, so this wouldn't be a financial burden or a "quit my job" kind of situation.

My idea is to buy a PS5 along with the essentials (capture card, microphone, webcam, lighting, etc.) and start building a YouTube channel before GTA 6 launches.

The plan is something like this:

Start uploading videos consistently now.

Learn editing, thumbnails, SEO, and YouTube in general.

Build a small audience before launch.

When GTA 6 releases in November 2026, go all-in with live streams, gameplay videos, Shorts, and Instagram Reels.

I know GTA 6 is probably going to be one of the biggest game launches ever, which also means there will be insane competition. I'm not expecting overnight success, but I'm wondering if starting a few months before release gives me a realistic chance to build something.

My questions are:

Does this sound like a reasonable strategy?

If you were starting today, would you do anything differently?

Is GTA 6 too competitive to break into as a new creator?

Would you focus only on GTA 6, or would you cover other games as well?

I'd really appreciate honest feedback, even if you think it's a bad idea. I'd rather hear realistic advice now than regret spending the money later.

When players can buy, sell, trade, or lend physical copies, Sony earns from just one sale. With digital, every purchase goes through the PlayStation Store, where Sony keeps a much larger share and users can't resell their games.

Convenience is great—but so is competition. Physical games help keep prices in check.

What's your take? Do you prefer digital or physical?

I was manifesting a PS5 from last year but due to stock outage I wasn’t able to get one at a good price so instead of buying the Slim model at 70K I decided to get this Bad boy at 95K and it’s worth it frrr I’m happy with the storage capacity :)

as a kid, i'd save up 20rs just to get a few minutes on a ps2 at the local game center. i have so many memories of playing smackdown! here comes the pain, the incredibles, and a bunch of other games with my cousins. then years later, it was gta v on a ps3 there. i always wished i could own a playstation one day.

after two years of countless internships and saving almost every stipend instead of spending it, i finally bought my own ps5 pro - with the disc drive, an extra dualsense, and a 1440p oled monitor.

ironically, i finally started building a physical collection just as sony announced they're moving away from physical releases. 😅 i guess i picked one hell of a time to become a collector.

it's still surreal buying something like this with money i earned myself. the kid counting 20rs notes outside the game center would've never believed it.

now it's time to work through the backlog, chase platinum trophies, and get ready for gta vi.

Hey all, need some real-world experience here before I spend money on something that might not work as expected.

My setup / goal:

The technical concern I want validated: Square wave / modified sine wave AC doesn't have a clean, sharp zero-crossing point. Line-interactive UPS units (like this APC) sync their own output timing off the zero-crossing of whatever AC they're being fed. Some forum threads I found (DIY Solar Forum, All About Circuits) describe UPS units getting confused when fed modified/square sine wave — clicking sounds, failure to sync, in one case reported hardware damage (though that was with unbranded cheap inverters, not something like a Luminous).

What I'm asking:

1. Has anyone actually run a line-interactive UPS (APC or otherwise) off a square wave home inverter's UPS-mode output? Did it work cleanly, or did you get clicking/sync issues/erratic behavior?
2. Would I be better off getting a UPS with a wider/more tolerant input sync range, or is this overthinking a problem that doesn't really show up in practice?

For context, here's what an AI assistant (Claude) told me when I ran this by it, in case it's useful or someone wants to push back on it:
