Standard Chartered CEO just fired 7,000+ workers and called them “low-value human capital”

Honestly… this made my blood boil. Layoffs are one thing. But hearing their CEO publicly describe human jobs like disposable assets feels dark as hell. Anyone inside banking seeing this shift already?

Wells Fargo cut 4,199 jobs in the first 90 days of 2026…what’s going on inside?

Been seeing Wells Fargo cut over 4,000+ jobs in 90 days this year…wtf is goin on inside?

Now every bank keeps saying AI efficiency and "do more with less" BS.

Anyone still at Wells Fargo seeing this? branches, ops, tech? feels like this is just the beginning…

Are older Oracle employees getting hit harder in layoffs?

https://youtu.be/E2su9lkd6Jc

hearing all these Oracle layoff stories and it's wild. Veterans over 40 forced to train broken AI just to get axed anyway? After 25 yrs grinding in tech this shit makes me anxious as hell. Anyone inside Oracle right now seeing the same patterns? Especially Bangalore folks?
