Waking up with burning chest pain

I haven’t been diagnosed but I feel like a lot of my symptoms align. I get a stabbing sensation multiple times a day on the left side of my chest and it can radiate down my left arm.

More recently I have been waking up from sleep with a burning sensation in my chest and pins and needles down my left arm. I am a tummy / side sleeper.

I am in the process of having a sleep apnoea test so will be interested to find out what’s going on. I went to the ED at 1am the first time it happened because it was scary she uncomfortable and they said my heart is fine, not that they check it thoroughly.

Lumbar puncture day 6

Had my LP last week, wasn’t enjoyable but got through it. OP was 30, yet to meet with my neuro ophthalmologist to discuss results.

I got a hotel for one night after the LP as I have a 15kg toddler who wouldn’t understand I can’t pick him up etc and aside from some sharp pain down my legs and at the puncture site I didn’t think recovery was too bad. Did well at hydration and laying flat for 48 hours.

At night 5 I woke up with really bad pins and needles in my left arm and chest discomfort it was so bad I went to ED, they treated me with chest pain and couldn’t find any heart related problems so discharged me.

Once I was discharged I still get random pins and needles down left arm, burning sensation in my thoracic area and now getting pins and needles down my legs. I called the radiologist who did the LP and explained and he was able to bring up my imaging from same company that I had bulging lumbar discs 5 years ago so may be related. He advised that if it doesn’t settle in a few days to ask the GP to prescribe a steroid injection and if that doesn’t work look into a neuro surgeon. I was shocked and I’m angry I feel like I already deal with enough with IIH let alone tingling limbs, just my luck 😭😭

Lumbar puncture tomorrow!

Lumbar puncture tomorrow. I haven’t done much research because I don’t want to psych myself out but I have had a c section before so the idea of needles in my back isn’t completely foreign.

Really hoping my main symptom of dizziness goes away! That’s been my main persisting symptoms, feeling unbalanced and I am so sick of it.

Interested to fund out my opening pressure, do you know if they usually tell you this at the procedure or do you need to wait for the referring doctor to tell you? I’m in Australia by the way

Buzzing in chest

I get buzzing in my chest on the left side. I have put this symptom down to anxiety as I have had chest X-rays and heart ultrasounds without finding any issues.

The buzzing in my chest does make me feel uneasy. It comes and goes in waves. It doesn’t hurt it just feels like a vibration. Mine will come and go throughout the day, no particular triggers and it can happen even if I don’t feel anxious.

Im wondering if anyone else who has had buzzing as an anxiety symptom if it comes randomly or only when your anxiety is heightened? I am just worried that it doesn’t happen when I am anxious it’s just random throughout my day.

Perindopril side effects including dizziness

Hey everyone.

I developed high blood pressure during the last few weeks of pregnancy (17 months ago) and it still requires medication. That’s another story finding out why as my most of my pregnancy my BP was fine.

But I feel like I’m going crazy, since being prescribed Perindopril 5mg I have developed crazy anxiety, I get tinnitus, insane dizziness, chest pain that radiates to my arms and I just generally don’t feel like myself. I’ve asked my doctor if these can be side effects of the medication because these symptoms have come since taking the medication but she is adamant it won’t be.

I am getting a brain MRI and so many bloods etc to see if that can explain my dizziness as that’s the main thing impacting my life right now. But I would be so annoyed going through this health anxiety ringer if it’s the meds causing the issue.

I would appreciate any experiences or advice with this particular medication.

What is this ?

I saw this insect south west Sydney. It moved along the ground like a caterpillar but looked like it had a wooden body. The body almost looked apart of the caterpillar, soft and flesh like, wrapped around the body. If it’s a caterpillar in a piece of wood, very interesting piece of wood to choose. It ended up getting run over by a car and had red blood come out of it.

Are theatrics common

I paid a substantial amount of money to be hypnotised by a hypnotherapist to quit vaping. I am really unsure how I feel about this session. It hasn’t worked. It did not give me a sense of control at all despite a thorough intake call where I was honest and told him I would still be around other vapours in the household etc. My main concern was the use of theatrics and it felt like I was in an acting session. When I was closing my eyes he got me to visualise two different paths one to my left and onto my right and the right path was a bad path where doom was impending if I continue to vape but he used a heater on my arm to make it feel hot and that just seems a bit over the top to me. I had faith in the hypnotherapy process however it all just felt like a big act despite a lot of good Google reviews. Can anyone shed any light as to theatrics like this is common during hypnotherapy?
