Observations about the Last City's military capabilities and logistics.

I was chilling with Devrim in the EDZ and it got me thinking about Hawthorne and Amanda. There are way more normal people than guardians and frames put together. It would make sense then that normal people make up the majority of the security forces, while guardians and frames tend to forward advance posts and offensive strongholds. Comparing us to the rest of the species in the system, the only species our normal humans have comparable attributes to is the Fallen, and only the dregs and vandals amongst them. Devrim and Suraya survived in the "field" for so long due to their capabilities with firearms and their tactical sense. Yet, the only species that successfully attacked the City was the Fallen, in which we got lucky in repeling due the actions of a particular Titan. Were the Fallen desperate, cocky, or more capable than everyone else or was everyone else waiting for a more opportune moment, or were we not worth the effort at the time?

(Forgot about the Cabal somehow, even then they got help.)

Edit: Humanity was straight up saved from the brink a number of times before The Guardian was rezzed. Even with the Guardian putting in work, humanity is lucky that the universe has, for the most part, decided that throwing things really fast and making things explode real big was the way to go, instead of just throwing hands or else we'd be way worse off.

Opinions on the Gardener and Winnower.

While I firmly believe in the tenants of the light (might makes right is a stupid philosophy IMO). The Gardener comes off as petulant a lot of the times and the Winnower seems to be the more mature one out of the two. What's everyone else's mindset on this?

How "in the know" is our guardian?

In the metatextual sense, we have full access to lore tabs and books to inform us of what's happening. Does our guardian somehow know this information as well or do they get a new weapon and think "cool! It has that new gun smell". Are they working with the same base knowledge as us or do they only have a general understanding of what's going on and are just riding the wave?

The pyramid ships going forward.

Have we figured out a way to destroy or utilize the pyramid ships? I'm now back in since Forsaken and a little uninformed, have we learned anything about their past, construction, or origin?

Edit: welp, I guess I have several hours long vids to tide me over while I wait for the June 9th update discount. Anyone got hunter PvP loadout suggestions?

Opinions and recommendations on the HK vp9.

Y'all are pretty chill, for the most part, and has gotten my to reconsider my stance on how much experience is enough. I have never shot a handgun before or owned one. I have dismantled a couple and know my way around the firing mechanism.

The vp9 caught my eye due mostly to advertising. What I'm looking for is a reliable firearm that can fire whatever ammo I could afford, accurate enough that I can't blame the gun at ranges where competition shooters regularly shoot from, and needs to be small enough that my wife will feel comfortable getting range time in as well.
