Hey guys, I am looking for a scale to purchase so that I can start weighing my snakes at home. What brand/model do you guys have/like?
I brought a scale a few weeks ago from Amazon but the weight is off by 100-200 grams compared to when I take them to the vet. So I need a better scale that is a little more accurate.
I would like to scan an old book at the library one night but was wondering if anyone knows if there is a charge to scan books?
I have a male Suriname boa that I had gotten from someone who couldn’t care for him anymore. I also have a female Suriname boa that I’ve own for 2 years. The company who had her, had her for a few months and she was wild caught. I got her healthy, no parasites, no scale issues, no BM issues. She was just scared of people.
I’ve been thinking about breeding but the things that I’m reading doesn’t seem like people are actually taking those steps. The person that I got the male from stated that he is captive bred that she had gotten from Repticon and she had him since he was about 2 months old and now he is 5 years old.
Question:
Would you attempt to breed them? They are both over the age of 5 and healthy.
If you own a wild caught (any reptile) did you request for the CITES paperwork?
I’m doing research of breeding and want to do things right.
I was wondering how do you guys know which type of wood is which and what type is best for a snake enclosure? I want to start going out to get my own but I don’t know where to start.
Also, what technique would you recommend to sanitize/clean them?
