Prolactin 72.3 — anyone with similar symptoms?

I’m a 24-year-old male currently on TRT. My recent bloodwork showed my prolactin was 72.3. My endocrinologist is having me get a pituitary MRI in a few weeks to rule out a tumor or other pituitary issue.

My symptoms have been:

Gained about 15 pounds, despite eating clean and being in a calorie deficit

Dizziness/lightheadedness almost every day

Headaches almost every day

Fatigue/tiredness every day

Anxiety

Generally feeling off and not like myself

I’m wondering if anyone here has had similar symptoms with prolactin around this level. Did you end up having a prolactinoma or another pituitary issue, or was there another explanation for the elevated prolactin?

High Prolactin On TRT

Hey everyone, looking for some advice from anyone who has dealt with high prolactin while on TRT.

I’m currently on 100mg/week testosterone cypionate and just got some blood work back. These were the results that stood out:

- Total testosterone: 1,048 ng/dL

- Free testosterone: 48.6

- Prolactin: 72.3

My endocrinologist seemed most concerned about the prolactin and scheduled me for a pituitary MRI just to rule anything serious out. I’m still waiting on my estradiol (E2) results because those haven’t come back yet.

A few things that might be worth mentioning:

- I have severe sleep apnea, which I know can affect hormones.

- My diet hasn’t been the greatest lately.

- I’m wondering if higher estrogen from TRT could be playing a role in my prolactin being elevated.

Has anyone here had prolactin levels around this range while on TRT? Did it end up being caused by high E2, sleep issues, stress, medications, or something else?
