9 mg to 25 mg. Who has done it?

About to make the jump to 25 mg from 9 mg. I had a couple of sickness episodes on 9 mg. I chalk both of those events up to waiting too long to eat both of those times, but overall I am tolerating 9 mg pretty well.

Any advice on jumping to 25 mg? So far 9 mg hasn't really changed my appetite much. One thing I have noticed on this subreddit is most people are still in the early doses when they post, and I see very little about people posing about being on 25 mg, which makes me think lots of people give up before 25 mg. Of course, I could be wrong.

At any rate, just looking for people's experiences.

Thanks!

Super sick on 9 mg. Throw in the towel?

M 42 5'10 SW195 lbs CW186

Been trying to titrate up for a few months. It has taken a while because of insurance and eventually I got sick. When I got sick I had been on 9 mg for about 2-3 weeks and I got what I thought was cyclospora. Explosive diarreah, vomiting, nausea etc. That lasted for 9 days.

I backed down to 4 mg while sick and eventually got better. Well, I have been titrating back up again and all of the symptoms returned last night. Nate night/early morning vomiting, diarreah, nausea etc.

Just starting to think I am not able to tolerate this drug. I know some people say just tough it out while your body adjusts, but as a father who works full time being put out that long just isn't an option.

Curious if others have ran into the same or similar problem and what you have done. I read injectables might be easier on the stomach since they apparently don't irritate it as much but I know they all come with side effects.

On 9 mg, not feeling anything

M 41 5'10 190 lbs.

For the past several months been titrating up. Had to go back to 4 mg for a while after I got cyclospora but I am back to 9 mg again. I am not feeling any decrease in appetite or changes on the scale. Anyone else experience this?

Seeing improvement on GLP-1. Anyone else notice this?

M/43 yo 5'10 185 lbs. I have struggled with nocturia for years. Sometimes getting up 3,4 or 5 times a night. Since being on Wegovy I have noticed that I am only getting up 1 or 2 times a night and I am not even tytrated to the maintenance dose yet.

Anyone else notice that? From my research a possible mechanism of action could be improved insulin sensitivity and less kidney activity at night. Curious if anyone else has ever noticed this.

Wegovy and Noctuira (seeing improvement)

M/43 yo 5'10 185 lbs.

For the past 6-7 years I have struggled with nocturia, or excessive night time bathroom trips. I have noticed I am getting up now only once or twice a night rather 3-5x per night. From my research the drug improves insulin sensitivity and eventually slows that the kidney activity at night. I am wondering if anyone has ever noticed this?

Got super sick. Stomach bug or Wegovy?

Been on the drug for probably 3.5 months. Slowly titrating up and I had been on 9 mg for about three weeks with no issues. One day I wake up with diarrhea, the next few days I am facing cyclospora-esque symptoms, explosive diarhhea, vomiting, lethargy and the inability to keep anything down.

I stopped taking the drug while I was in such bad shape because part of me was thinking I was reacting negatively to the drug. Then I realized I may have got a stomach bug/parasite and the slow digestion cause by Wegovy made the symptoms worse.

I did go to the doc and they said my white blood cell count was up signalling by body was fighting something off. I tested for cyclospora and it came back negative, but apparently with that test there is a good chance of it being missed and sometimes three stool samples are needed fo accuracy, something I did not want to do. I am now over it and feel completely better after about 8 days of suffering. My delima new is do I restart or should I assume my body was rejecting the medicine?

Honestly, I had been tolerating the drug just fine until I got sick. In fact, I was not noticing much of a change in anything.

Has anyone else gotten really sick on the drug, either because of side effects or an outside cause? I am nervous to continue, but I think I was about to reach the point of efficacy and I kind of don't wanna give up completely.

3 weeks in on 9 mg and suddenly GI chaos

I have been titrating up from 1.5 to 4 and now on 9 mg. Honestly noticed very little of anything until four days ago I got hit with nasty diarrhea, abdominal cramps and malaise. Has anyone else been on the dose for that long before it hit you?

It's like suddenly there is sufficient levels of the drug in my system to do something and it has been rough. Wondering how long I endure, or if I just throw in the towel. On day 4 or 5 of feeling super rough.

I quit 2 years ago back to report on life

I went through what many of you are going through now about two years ago. I chose to quit Zyns on my vacation because I knew I could sleep in and not have to contend with work stress while quitting. First 3 or so days were the worst, first two weeks were uncomfortable and I had cravings for probably another month or two but they were manageable.

Fast forward to today, I don't even think of them. My brain chemistry is back to normal. I kind of forget this was a vice of mine but my Reddit feed was suggesting this subreddit so I decided to check back in.

Stay the course. Temporary discomfort for long-term gain. Your body will adapt and so will your brain chemistry, just gotta keep at it.

Not feeling much on 9 mg. Will it kick in at 25?

I have been moving up in dose as they recommend. I have been on 9 mg for two weeks. Apart from nausea the first few days I am not noticing much of a change. Will it really kick in at 25?

Looking at trading my F-150 in for one. I know Toyota is known for not dealing much on these. I essentially am looking at a SR5 with the Off-road package and not really any options beyond that. Most of searches are showing "Internet" prices of around $52k.

If done right, what do you think a truck like could be had for? Are they firm?
