I am researching a lithograph by H. Daumier from the series Les Gens de Justice, pl. 11: “Oui, on veut dépouiller cet orphelin…”
The sheet measures approximately 38 × 28 cm and has an ARCHES watermark. Because of this, I am trying to determine whether this is a later fine-art impression, restrike, or editioned reproduction rather than the original 1845 Le Charivari issue.
Are there known Daumier restrikes or later editions printed on Arches paper of this size?
Are there references for chronological Arches watermark variants? Any ideas much appreciated!
I would appreciate help identifying these hallmarks on a silver cigarette case. The mark appears to include “211” 43 and several symbols/letters. I am trying to determine country, maker, city, and approximate date. Any help would be appreciated.
It was bought in Moscow, but I think the hallmarks are not Russian.
