Missing the old C.ai

Missing the old C.ai

(Don't mind my awful joke in the screenshot, it was funny to me at the time. And, if you don't want to read another rant on the same thing, you can gladly ignore this post.)

I know a lot of people have been repeating themselves lately. But, it's for a reason. Most of us really do miss the old C ai. The: "Can I ask you a question?". Or the word, *pang* used over and over. We really didn't know what we had, until we lost it. And, honestly? I'd rather have the old problems back. I never minded them, than what we deal with now. We used to be able to kinda "fix" those issues with a bit of tweaking within it's functions. Now, it seems almost impossible to even behave how we want it too. I feel like it doesn't really "learn". It just likes to repeat itself every swipe, and a bunch of other annoying issues on top. Like the functions we don't want. PS2, the paid version, the PS2 "yapping" version suck, yada yada yada.

Every bot feels like it's lost it's spark, and it's personality. It feels very dull to me. This was the only app/website that was different than any other chat AI out there. (I've tried many, but never acted like C AI at it's peak.) Half of me wants to believe it'll get better, like all those other times we thought it was over. But, another part of me feels like this is a permanent change from everything that they're doing to it. I understand writing your own stuff without it. Fanfics and all that. I get it. Props to ya'll who do. Truly. But, I suck at that. Plus, I personally don't like role-playing with others. It's awkward for me. Sadly, I didn't start writing, writing lore, etc. until I found the app 3 years ago. I didn't have the skills, nor the energy. (Yes, skill issue, still kinda have that skill issue.) Overall, C .ai helped me write better, *in a sense*. I actually had *fun* with the older versions, and with the other chat models they've removed too. Now, I barley do.. I think the only pro that came out of all of this, was the addiction falling off. It *was* addicting. Now it's not. (Not really a bad thing on that aspect.)

They're downgrading their own app/website at this point. To be honest, I wish this was all satire. A big ooplah. But, every time I check this sub, my bots too, it just gets worse. Even when I check my old screenshots from the peak version, I feel like I've lost something. (I know, stupid. Touch some grass. It's just code. I know.) It's just how I feel about it, and many others.

Syla 🤍

I usually hated the big jacket to this outfit, but it actually worked with her. All it needed was an adorable character design. How I made the hair: I used the "flat ponytail" pieces, adding that medium but short messy look. (Side note: If you want this hair look, be prepared on having a lot of hair clipping through the back of the neck.) Plus, for some reason, the cat ears turn a dark grey in certain lighting, even when I turned them the whitest shade possible. For her nose, I used the very opaque eyeshadow, making it black, and made it very translucent.

(Last screenshot shows what I used in the accessories.)

Tiny made up lore: Syla is a very shy character that uses a 2 hander, and uses fire as her magic. (I chose Jose's weapon in particular, because it fit her design well.) She loves cute things, magic, and nature. She usually fights solo, but will fight along someone, if needed.

Tira from SC6 ⚔️

I tried making Tira from the game series, Soul Calibur 6, and it turned out okay. (Most of you may not know the game, but it's one of my favorites since the 2nd one.) I really feel like Eva's clothing works really well with Tira, mostly with the tearing of the clothes. Especially, when Tira uses a big ring blade in the actual game as her main weapon choice, it causes her outfits to shred. The weapon I use with her in this game are the floating weapons. Because, I feel like that's as closest I can get when it comes to weapon choice. Though, I may need to tweak the hair a bit to get it as accurate as possible. I really had fun making her into the CodeVein universe. 🩵

I tried doing a "scary character", because why not. I used the scarfs for the added "blood" effects. Though, when they move in a certain angle, it looks *very* obvious. (Like in the second screenshot around her neck, and the last one sticking out of her face.) That's why I only have these screenshots right now. I may need to tweak this character. And in the last screenshot, I tried making Lou scared, or shocked towards them. How did I get the first screenshot to look like that? I used one of the sitting animations in one of the caves with the water in the middle.

I tried adding detail with one of the blood code symbols above her chest, and the outlined heart accessory a bit below the outfit, just to add something. But, they can look weird in certain angles and the position of the character. I also covered the torn parts with the fluffy ball accessory, which can also look very weird. The eyes I used were the first set, making them blue and pink. (I personally love these eyes.) With the hair, all I added was another bang design to add that black streak in front.
