So due to my Au/DHD I've lost some fantastic work opportunities. Used to work for the state, then was an environmental manager, electrical distribution designer, a complex chemistry analysis QA/QC tech. All things I was knowledgeable enough to do, but i just can't seem to put in the same quality of work in for 40 hours a week for months or years. My longest job is 2 years, but my typical burn out point is 6 months.

How does anyone in this sub manage to stay employed and make a livable wage?

I'm currently a temp worker making 17/hr with no benefits. This obviously isn't going to cut it.

I wouldn't mind have some form of disability income to at least help bills and work part time? Maybe even have my own small business where I can set my hours.

I also worry about retirement savings of which I have very little.

I need financhial stability in my life.

Im working with my states occupational rehabilitation services, but so far they are extremely slow to offer help and im not sure how they could help anyways.

Remote jobs are also extremely hard to find, although i think that may be a good fit for me.

Any similar life situations or insights here?
