To me it looks like the complete perversion of that platonic love from chapter 318.
Both chapters feature a male-female relationship between royalty and a commoner, but now it's only a narcissist that immediately feels pleasure in mentally (and physically) torturing women who are beneath him while, simultaneously, getting aroused by the ones who challenge, provoke and make the situation more difficult to him.
Theta, for me, is the current vessel Tserriednich is using to show how much in love he is with himself. A sadomasochist and a narcissist through and through.
