First iui success ended in loss

Ah, I’m back. I had posted the success of my first iui back in July. Unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. I’m 1 week post d&c (thank the heavens above I was under anesthesia).

I’m feeling a lot better than a couple weeks ago…but I feel defeated. I’ve gained a lot of weight. I’m still trying to feel natural happiness (I know I know hormones…). I’m still clinging to hope that we will have our baby one day.

2 years ttc, 1 loss, and I still hope.

If anyone else has similar experiences would love to hear. I’m just healing currently but slowly opening my mind to what is next for us.

EDIT: thank you for the love. I was sad to have to post this as I didn’t openly share my pregnancy with many except this community. I’m grateful to be apart of supportive humans here. ❤️‍🩹

Tw: BFP with IUI chart

2 years ttc. Husband and I did an IUI and it was successful. I used mira for many months before and took a break from it towards the end but thought it would be helpful for the iui cycle.

I triggered on cycle day 11 and had my iui day 13 in the morning.

First positive was 11 dpiui

Confirmed with my dr hcg beta yesterday (14 dpiui) was 161 🙏❤️

Sharing this for anyone in a similar situation

TW: Successful first IUI

I can’t believe I’m typing this but here we are. Pregnant.

It’s been almost 2 years TTC. Unexplained diagnosis. 34 F/ 33 M

After a couple SHG’s and a few semen analysis we noticed my husbands morphology was low (1%) and lower testosterone and I had a very small indent .64cm making my uterus heart shaped (crazy I never knew!).

My husband started taking Clomid daily 25mg beginning March. He will continue through the first trimester in case of loss.

We were told IUI was a good option for us. I took 100mg of Clomid from cd 2-6. Triggered on day 11 with Ovidrel. 36 hours later was our IUI.

Semen was 10 million with 84% motility post wash.
2 mature follicles (21 & 15) with a 3rd at around 14. Those measurements were 36 hours before IUI.

I started seeing a faint positive on 11 dpiui and I was so upset I didn’t test out my trigger because I was convinced it was my trigger. Then day 12 wasn’t that much darker. 13 was a little darker and today 14 dpiui there was no denying… BFP. but my heart still held back some joy. So I went this morning for a beta.

I got the call a few hours later 161.5!

Testing again on Monday and praying this little nugget wants to stick around.

I want to thank this thread for encouragement. This journey isn’t easy. I have thought about this every day for the past 2 years and I often wondered “why is this happening?” Today feels like a new chapter. Hope.

Praying for everyone else in this thread for that same joy. 🙏❤️

10 dpiui going crazy

I am trying to stay strong. I don’t want to test early because I also didn’t test out my trigger. Also I don’t have any symptoms…so trying not to overthink. The only one that I felt was maybe yesterday I felt very faint even tho I shouldn’t have been..ended up eating and felt better. But that could have been just hunger? Idk.

Who stays strong around this time? This is hard 😖😂

Emotional acceptance

My husband and I have been trying to naturally conceive for almost 2 years now. Unexplained infertility.

Our next step is IUI.

I’m supposed to get my period any day now and have taken one last pregnancy test today…negative. Which wasn’t a surprise.

I guess I just had that realization today of “we are done trying naturally” and sad acceptance that the little small chance of a miracle didn’t come through.

I’m emotional but accepting. Didn’t think it would be this way but I’m choosing to stay optimistic for what’s ahead.

IUI is next. ❤️
